[Lowfer] WE2XGR/5 finally hits the air waves!

To All (from a coffee house in the north woods),
 
No joy from /5 on this trip north as I could not complete the exciter before leaving Andover on Friday. The cupboard containing MOSfet driver chips (used for the line driver) was found to be bare but the exciter is otherwise complete. Have ordered more chips and will be ready for the trip north next weekend. I will, however, be conducting experiments at ~513K tomorrow (Monday) raising the power level to ~ 50w by removing turns from the primary of the loop coupling xfmr. Believe me, this is *High Power* at least for me! :) with a gigantic 1A on the power supply line. Will manually beep a few /5s in CW now and then just in case someone is listening.
