 Bill - I fully understand a remote transmitter shack/hut/plastic
bin/underground bunker etc. Having returned home once to a funny smell
from my wooden remote transmitter shack, only to find my Commercial
point to point (Scotland to Antarctica) N-Kw HF PA in flames has made me
more and more wary on unattended ops. Same sort thing happened to me up
at CFS Alert back in 82 and that wasn't much fun at -50C - That, or a
better fire/VESDA system to cut power and Green friendly HALON equiv
dumping system would have made me sleep better.

The tale tale signs of Moose Poo around my AK property means my min
height of my loop is going to have to be at least
12 feet - those big males can really stretch their necks.

Good luck with getting on the air

Snip

"Fear of the unknown' coupled with the fear of causing a fire while I'm
not there, should lightening strike and/or something fail in the final
(and safety in power amps is not my strong suit). Been down that road
before and it's not fun; rebuilding and resupplying a small cabin after
a fire, that is.
Thanks for asking."
