    General question on the same topic.  Are 'Vista compatible' PC's 
capable of using sound cards and running all of the sound card programs 
we've gotten used to?  It's getting mighty hard to find a new machine 
which doesn't have Vista factory loaded.  I'm considering an hP dc7700 
which is still available with XP Pro but HP is trying to sell it with 
Vista and I'm reluctant to buy without knowing if it will work for my 
usage.  Can't get any useful word on the subject from anyone I've 
reached at HP.

    Haven't heard a good word about Vista from anyone!
