Peter, Ted, Steve, Bob, Jay,
I don't see an online forum as competing with a e-mail list in any way.
E-mail is the way to make operating announcements and listener reports.
A forum is where you can post details and files, circuits, audio clips, diagrams etc.
Perhaps even interesting finds on E-Bay.
I think the AM Forum is a good model.
Registering for the forum would NOT require un-subscribing from an e-mail list!
One thing that would be enormously useful would be to put up audio clips and spectral plots as an aid to identifying
interference sources.
I am often asked for specific types of information from newcomers and have to troll through websites
and my hard drive and its a time consuming process.
A well organized forum like Ted had could really cut through all of that.
Think of it as a resource like a map or street signs, if you've lived here all your life you have no need for them.
But for the visitor it can explain a lot in a short period of time!
I agree with Steve that you could do this on a website, but I am terrible at updating my site!
