Hi All,

Just starting up for the LowFER season. Had been a occasional HiFER but not much beyond seeing NC most often.

Jack asks about "BOB" in Mahomet ... well it's been off for a few years according to the son of that LowFer after I sent a letter of inquery. I'm 35 miles S of Rockford and heard BOB once during one morning a few years back, it was plain CW about 10wpm.

So I just started listeningto 185 and last night saw screens of EAR and MP, both fb sigs.  Switchd to 137 and saw some sigs but no time for an ID. I'll get back to it. Esp. interested in finding the new KS beacon on 137.

Still have work to do and reset the radials taken up for grass cutting, so the Vert is compromised some.

Oh, but while seeing MP last night, no sign of Bill's mighty graphics...hmm?

There used to be a beacon 10 miles northwest of here, in Mahomet, IL, that 
signed "BOB". I think over the last few years it was mainly active during 
the winter.  I didn't hear it last winter.
