Here is the transmit converter
http://www.we0h.us/505kc/505kc_Transverter/HF_LF_Transmit_Converter/HF_LF_Transmit_Converter.jpg
I run the TS-930 transverter signal into a coupling cap right into the
mixer rather than the high level attenuator shown in the drawing. The
receive converter is a Jackson Harbor design
http://www.we0h.us/505kc/505kc_Transverter/LF_Converter/ which has
proved itself many times to be super hot on the low bands. I use a 7
pole Chebycheff filter with a 515kc cutoff freq in the front end of the
receive converter. There is zero broadcast spur's with this setup here.
I also use the same filter between the transmit mixer and the opamp
stage to keep the local oscillator out of the opamp. You can run
whatever local oscillator suits your application. I use a 3mc oven
oscillator here.
