to iterate a bit on Steve
location is all
I had a probe located alongside the house and it sounded like an open
mike
lead. The antenna had been mounted and grounded to a steel mast
with a bit of pipe stuck into the ground at the base of the mast and the
mast tied to that
things quieted down to my normal horrible hash from the York Hospital. So
tie the antenna
ground to the mast and ground that,,, should get you a big improvement
all other isolation that you do from then will help as well,,,, in my
case it didnt take much
of a ground stake at the antenna base, ,,, perhaos a foot or so
