Robert,
The long integration to which you refer is possible only if the signal
stays put in frequency, as it would at LF or VLF. The Doppler shifting
and similar effects even at 160 meters can be pretty wild. I remember
when K0LR tried WOLF and slow QRSS on 160. The results were not pretty!
Some of us have tried similar experiments at 13.5 MHz, and QRSS3 has
been the minimum practical speed. QRSS10 is possible, but both depend on
repetitive "beacon" text so that you can catch characters the next time
around. Narrower BW stuff just turns into mush.
