Just so it's properly announced, WD2XNS and WD2XES will have a WOLF(10)
QSO tonight on 137.577 kHz, starting at 0100 UTC (9 PM EDT). We will
send and receive in 5 minute segments starting exactly at the top of the
hour. Since WOLF copy "builds up" over time, those attempting to copy
should click "Restart" on their screens at those 5 minute intervals. If
you don't want to manually intervene, set the number of frames per
decoding period to 2, and the decoder will recycle at something
approaching 5 minute intervals.
Hint 1: If you have trouble getting clean copy, you might want to shut
off any other programs running on that computer. Even the best of our
machines may not execute DSP routines on-time when interrupted for other
tasks. I find that email activity tends to mess up some of these DSP
programs (not just WOLF) on my computer.
Hint 2: Rather than post jpg's of screen shots, just click the "Copy"
button on the WOLF GUI screen. That will copy the text to the clipboard,
and you can paste it into an email message without needing an attachment.
