I've heard this quite a few times before. The feedline attached to the antenna is part of the
antenna up to the point where it reaches the ground. Try it directly at ground level sometime with a
big choke on the feedline just for good measure if you need convincing. This is how I run my 1 meter
modified Amrad (J310 device) antenna so that I can make semi meaningful field strength measurements.
Before the flamers get cranked up...I'm not knocking the Mini-Whip...this is just a reality check
all too often overlooked.
