Have a SDR/IQ unpackaged setting on top of a computer.  I haven't had a lot of 
time to use the board but so far I've seen no noise problems.  The only antenna 
I've connected to the IQ has been the outside wire antennas.

My 897D works great on LF and MF. I now seldom use the W/G or HP SLMs for 
reception.  No I/M problems but there are no nearby AM BC stations.  Never tried 
the 897 with a active whip but it works great with balanced loop/preamp combination.
