[Lowfer] Beverage ground question

Hi Stan,

In most cases the far end of a Beverage is indeed terminated to
ground thru a resistor of about 450 ohms. However, if the far
end is left unterminated the antenna will be bi-directional, which
in my case is wanted, due to it's alignment of 50/230 degrees.

As to the fence, it's what we call a paigewire type, having four
or five horizontal wires and a vertical wire about every foot or
so along its length. I installed my antenna on the opposite side
of the wooden fence posts than the fence inself. I was told the
fence would have little effect upon the antenna.

I'll try to get some measurements of the ground resistance on
both the rods and the tree roots.
