Pressing the Print screen (prntscrn) button will save a picture of the 
entire desktop to the Windows clipboard and not send it to the printer 
like folks think it does. Then open Paint or some other image program 
and paste the clipboard into the image program. Save and edit the 
picture to suit your needs. Other prntscrn tips are at this link -
