I don't have a Vista machine and don't expect to get one but two of
my friends have reported the same problem and I was hoping someone here
might be able to help them. They were using Spectran on machines with
XP and "got a deal" on new machines using Vista. Neither has been able
to get Spectran to work on their new machines because the old sound card
control program [SNDVOL32?] is not longer available. I don't know if
the difference is in the "Vista compatible" mother board or just in the
OS. I've only learned about the problems via email and neither guy is
completely computer literate. I thought I'd raised the question here
before as to whether anyone had been able to use Spectran, Argo, or any
of the other great programs on a Vista machine and that you or someone
else had replied something to the effect that "Vista is the problem".
I've heard nothing at all good about Vista and this just adds to the
stories of problems.

Thanks for any help,

Ed
