[Lowfer] Reflector and forum

I don't want to go into polemic but I firmly believe that the interest
of LF enthusisasts should *not* be spread and scattered all over the
Internet unless we have a very good reason to. A single mail reflector
is _enough_ for text messages (after all, "the core" of die-hard LFers
are just a few dozen people!) and since file attachements are
prohibited, for spam- or whatever reason, a storage point like Ted's
forum or the LWCA site (I don't know if it has "file upload
capability"?) is great for exchanging larger things and maybe also quick
person-to-person chats.

How would you react if your local newspaper suddenly decided to deliver
the daily sport news on paper into your mailbox, world news on a CD to
be found in your local library, local news via the web, weather on a
radio channel, the comic strips at the art museum in the neighbour city
and finally the economic news in a nearby cinema? Would you still care
to subscribe ;-)

Life is too short...
