Thanks for the repeat of this posting. It looks like I will have to go for
the larger of the two shown on the Pep Boys site. I just realized that in
addition to the electric heater I will need almost 5000w to be able to
operate my deep-well pump. The pump has a very short duty cycle (maybe only
30 seconds for the ON time) and I can rig the controller for the heater so
that when the water pressure falls to the point where the pump is needed the
heater will be automatically shut off. BTW the predicted time when the power
will be restored is another two days! As of tonight 18,000 other customers
are without power.
