JA,

Yes, the power has been out in Ellsworth for over 24 hrs and my signals from
up there are still off as of 9:00 am. WM Andover turned off so that I can
determine when the power is restored. I have only electric heat in the cabin
so I tried to leave about noon yesterday to come home but found one large
tree was blocking the road. Incredible number of trees resting on the 5
miles of power lines along Ellsworth Hill Rd. Took until 5:00 for the
electric crew to arrive and remove it. The whole area has similar problems
so that was the reason for the delay. Will likely be returning when it does
because I am monitoring a friends basement (actually an Inn) who is in
Florida for the winter and the water level is high - but need electric power
for the sump pump. (And here I was shopping for a portable generator on
Saturday but elected not to buy :)

When I arrived in Andover I found similar problems with the wind. In fact
the power had just been restored. A large tree is resting on the roof of a
neighbor's house!

How did your area in Maine make out? - Or in fact Holden, MA? At least
there's power for TAG.

Bill
