[Lowfer] Wrong sign-up procedure

One of the list managers on the LWCA lowfer list asked me to post here 
and let everyone who tried to use MAJORDOMO to subscribe that MAJORDOMO 
commands DO NOT WORK! The LWCA list is MANUAL SUBSCRIPTION ONLY! 
The list owner manually approves all new subscribers, presumably because 
of SPAM issues. You must send an e-mail using the prescribed procedures 
outlined at: http://lwca.org/groups.shtml Below is the information I received 
from the LWCA listmaster.

I guess the mention of this list over there is what prompted so many new
subscribers today.  There would have been more, except some folks tried to
subscribe using commands directly to majordomo.  That doesn't work.  If you
are still a subscriber to the other list, could you do me a favor and
mention there that it is necessary to follow the subscription procedure in
http://lwca.org/groups.shtml ?  Thanks very much, and again--welcome!
