[Lowfer] Looking for recommendations

Hi Gang,
Newcomer to the list but so far have seen no activity.
I'm looking for thoughts and recommendations...hoping this hasn't been
the subject of recent discussions.
Would like to get something going before Winter and quiter receiving
conditions.  None of my radios tune the VLF/LF range and am thinking
about a converter like the Palomar that will work with my Drake 2B or
Drake R4C receiver.
Any thoughts or recommendations...DO's and/or DON'Ts.
Guess a direct reply would be best.
