[Lowfer] Dave Curry's Transceiver

I got interested in LowFER in the mid-80's when I ran into an old timer at
C&H Sales.  We talked for a good half hour.  He said there was a LowFER club
at the Downey Fire Dep't.  A little far to ride my bicycle...  In the late
eighties, I put an ad in the Recycler Newpaper that I was looking for LowFER
info, I fellow was nice enough to mail me a copy of the LWCA's Low Down.  I
shortly learned of Curry Communictions and longed for the SSB transceiver.
I saved my money for the longest time and by the the time I could afford
one, I couldn't get a hold of Dave.  I tired phone and mail, no luck.  Years
later I found an e-mail address for Dave, no reply...  It's one thing to
answer a call and tell you that he dropped the idea, it's another to leave
everyone hanging...
