Hi Ed,
Enjoyed the post,
brought back old times, I spent a lot of time listening on a BC-453 my self
.
Had the whole line and the rack they mounted on.
Also the BC- 348, 342 along with ANARC 13, used to love to hear that thing
load up, with all that clacky clack.
I used it on 40 mtrs and Army Mars.
also had the BC 122, (I believe) the VHF receivor along with the 6 ft. rack
mounted Xmiter.
with the 832 tubes.even had a pair of the 80 mtrs. Walkie Talkies.
(working).

PS: Back in the 50's I worked on the Aircraft that used that Equipment.
C-97, C-54, C-124 and even had some of the RB-50 Recon. planes. full of
Cameras.that was the next generation of the B-29
