[Lowfer] Best times for reception of HiFer ?

In past years I have tried at different times to pickup HiFer Beacons,
it has always been NIL.    However, Monday night the band was alive.   I
suspect I have been listening at the wrong times.  Does the best
reception period have anything to do with the Grayline ?   Most of the
stations I heard last night were in the dark and I was in the Grayline
area.   Tonite, I seen a few light traces early then got buzy until well
after the Grayline had passed me by and no signals.

 

What is the best time to listen for 13.5 MHz beacons ?
