Interesting. Enjoy the discussion over this apparent perennial issue.
But have some forgot that in past incarnations on this it was resolved
early on not to request explanation from f_c, as it may bring unwanted
attention. So in lieu of particulars from them (that may mean multiple
persons answering differently, a la, a cat chasing its tail) the group
decided (didn't argue beyond a point) that the "15M cylinder rule"
prevailed. The loopers extrapolated that into another geometric shape,
hence the 50X50 perimeter corollary.

I agree with earlier opinion, keep this among the group and "let
sleeping dogs lie." Really, we have a good thing going.

Further thought. Since the rules are intended primarily to control
interference, I can't imagine anyone caring what is done as long as it
doesn't result in interference. If signals are low enough to require
the sophisticated means we use to receive them it's inconceivable that
anyone could really care, as long as the signals are clean and harmonics
don't fall where they'll be noticed by anyone. PLC work is NOT "weak
signal".

As a question and the answer is obvious. Don't ask and they won't be
interested and set up the "lowfer police" to run around looking for
stuff, particularly when they can't handle what's on their plate
already.

Remember the golden rules: "Don't ask the question if you can't stand
the answer." and "Don't fix it if it ain't broke."
