Mike, speaking of 'screaming cold' you should see the frostbite from my 
chin, back, on both sides of my face. We started riding on Sunday about 
130mi north of here at -9F. This area had the only descent snow in the East. 
Any air that works its way past small openings between coat and helmet can 
cause skin to freeze in minutes at the speeds we were traveling. Early 
Monday we visited a ski shop an bought polar-tek neck warmers and face 
warmers. That made all the difference in the world and nobody had the least 
bit of trouble that day. One of the towns close to where we stayed overnight 
had -31F!
