Hi Eric,

   I couldn't remember who started the thread but yes that is the rubber
tape I was talking about.
   I had my people use the Scotch brand (came in a red cardboard box) for
years in the power plants I was consulting engineer for.We used it on the
12.5 kv connections too.
   I ordered it from the electrical wholesale house and  always called it
splicing compound and they sent me the right stuff.
