Thanks Peter. I have been there before. That is where I found out about the
DDS chip that I got sampled from Analog Devices. Bryce told me to look up
their low part count PIC programmer and that led to a few hours reading the
site.

Wow! Tnx Art. Hadn't been to this QRP site in a long while and now
notice PICs there. The site is a gem for "how to" info, esp. noted here,
that on PICs.
Anyone [Mike?] wanting basic info on PICs, instruction, dev board,
pgmmg, see the parent site,
http://www.njqrp.org
See, >The "PIC-EL Kit" is a multi-function PIC16F84A-based project

I ordered mine this morning!
I did have a brief email exchange with George regarding this. They are
currently in stock and ready to ship.
I also mentioned the marginal .02 Hz frequency steps and commented that
I
wished they had built a AD9854 unit, giving many more features and sub
millihertz frequency steps. Among other things, better phase control
and
the availability of an I/Q output are available on the AD9854. George
commented that they were working on a 9854 version and he directed me
to
the following URL for more info.
