Eric,
Good write-up on that 30-foot vertical. It was so detailed I almost
felt I was spying through the willows.
Interesting on that Al rod top hat. I too pondered just such an
arrangement and came up with an approach that obviates the crossover
issue. I was contemplating 6 radial spreaders, so there crossover would
have been a mess. Then I nailed it by bending each rod into a vee.
90Degs for 4 radials; 60Degs for 6 radials (3 bent rods ). I even
envisioned extending them w/ lighter tubing to extend the radials out 6
feet. Then attach the skirt wire. Of course all of this would be
acid-soldered for long-life endurance. (Did I say that -- again?)
Say, I wonder ... you say next is a flat top. So what kinda skyhooks ya
got planned? Beware, if you say that you have two 50-60 foot poles, say
70 feet apart, a certain LF-cupid may show up with bow 'n line and do
some looping. (Gee, I say that too?)

Hi,
I've been asked by a couple to post here the details of the
construction
of the antenna in the picture I sent to Dex's LowFER antenna page.
