[Lowfer] Propagation upside down?

It's 10:05am and both Jay's VD and my 'W' signal are pounding into the 
Grabulator like it's 10:05pm! Also, there's minimal QSB. Can this be 
explained? I know that daytime skip is common but it's supposed to be about 
-20db compared to night time skip. Jay is about 200mi, and I am about 360mi 
from Steve's base.
