that depends on how they are elmered,, In the York area we have a pretty
good
VE group and regular classes in becoming a licensed ham. So there is
always
input on good behavior as well as answering questions. I ran a project in
the local
club on building J pole antennas for 144 . These are a kit and require
some simple
cutting and assembly the Nubies that complete the antenna and see the
results on my
analyzer is amazing. This is enjoyable for them because it makes for
instant gratification
You mean it works WOW !
sometimes the advanced and extra guys just bone up on the exam QandA
,,,Pass and then become
know it alls ,,, never do anything outside of picking stuff from
catalogues
and you are right too long a thread ,, but I sure would encourage folk to
play the VE game
as it is loads of fun to help the new hams
But I cant get them interested in LF
