Mike, you were referencing my TX octiloop from last season and it reminded 
me that weird receiving events occurred with THAT antenna as well. The 
signal was down 8 db because of its reduced size so I decreased the power on 
the big loop to make the signals equal. I also transmitted sequentially with 
a .5 Hz offset. At Larry's site there were considerable variances in signal 
strength with neither loop showing an average advantage over the other 
during a night of captures...... So put the size of the loop in the witches 
brew of variables that make up the mystery of signal strength at the 
receiving site.
