Wind damage.  Instead of repairing I'm rebuilding it - winding a new 
loading coil and placing it inside the transmitter building (inches from 
the antenna outside the building) instead of at the top of the vertical 
element beneath the tophat.  With the loading coil gone I'm increasing 
slightly the length of the vertical element and (again, slightly) the 
diameter of the tophat.  New tophat will have 4 x #4 radials and #8 halo 
instead of 3 x #8 radials and #8 halo.

I'll let you know when it's back on the air -- hope to improve the antenna 
current as compared to the old one.
