Kurt,
It's done through the Tools menu. Check the Help file first and check out
the entry for "blocking active content." Outlook Express is very flexible,
which is both its strength and what ticks people off with it.
I've long used the OE Inbox Assistant to filter out some spam before it
downloads from the mail server, but the rules one can set are a bit limited
when you have to distinguish between wanted mail and plausible-looking spam.
Fortunately, my ISP recently enabled a much better spam blocker which is
helping a lot too. Between them, I now receive more real messages from this
reflector than spam. First time in nearly two years that's been the case.
What a joy and relief!
