[Lowfer] spamming

As long as you don't have friends in aol or de land, that will work
reasonably well. I took the approach 180 degrees from yours, i.e. I use the
Message Rules to take messages from a source like Lower from mailman and put
them in a lowfer directory. Same for qrp-l , psk31 and a couple of other
reflctors. Then whatever is left falls thru into the DTX directory and is
usually SPAM. I normally read the mail 2 or 3 times during the day, find 7
to 12 new pieces in the DTX directory and it is easy to scan the from column
and usually delete it all. The replies from real people stand out amazingly
well. And a quick glance at the subject line will remove all doubt ;-)

For those who do a lot of net surfing and get hundreds of spam emails a day,
well, maybe this would not work so well. Just another way that works for
me. Also, nothing ever "auto opens" and plays itself. Period. My email
client of least resistance (not choice ;-) is Outlook Express.
