Hey Peter,

I am running the flattop now since it is cold enough for it. I don't think
the loop directivity favors you enough but the flattop works obviously.

Been away from email and most all electronics for a long year-end and
winter break that included home basement cleaning.

Also the wx here in N IL has been unseasonable with some highs last
week in the 40s and one of 50. Though all has changed as of yesterday
with a N front coming through and about 5 inches snow. Temps expected to
drop low tonight and for the week.

The good wx gave me an unexpected chance to continue to fortify the
ground radials for the vertical ant. Also laid down another 4X50 foot
welded fence roll under the T.

All of this has paid off it appears as some here-to-fore unseen LowFERs
were captured on Argo just before the holidays and my QRT.

Sat. 12-20-03...
 6:45A - good copy of VE3OT on 137 on 10-foot loop
6:10A - WE0H is strong on 185.3 on 10-foot loop, also and below, see
UWL (weaker) for first time, however, in 10 minutes, both are gone. By
8:45A only WE0H is seen. WE0H was seen up to 1:00P, then I closed Argo.
4:45P WE0H coming good on the vertical

Sunday 12-21-03...
5:50A - see parts of WE0H then gone
6:10A - See WEB -- first time capture
6:30A - WEB peaking to dog bones

5:30P - switch to the vertical w/o amp, WE0H in there -- though not
seen on the loop

7:20P - BRO coming in good at 182.2

Monday 12-22-03...
  5:55A - WE0H coming in solid
  6:25A - BRO okay

Looked for others, as usual, but nothing seen.

Good to be back in the ol'-8-5 routine after 2 weeks loafing :-}

Peter
