Wx improving with below zero for last nite. Early evening only produced
lite traces at the watering hole. Ha, think I had the feedline from the
vertical plugged in. I now have three antennas and lines to choose from
and my tagging gave me pause for concern.

Things had improved near mid-nite. BRO (new at 185.303+), WE0H and
tract of UWL were present.

At 6:00A, BRO solid and on top, next WE0H weaker (yet nearer) and UWL
sketchy and recognized only by freq.

Also saw at 6:00A LEK (? one ID) below 185.0 and NC above 185.0, both
in CW. Was it them, were they on?!

Also new this season is the pre-amp situation. Am only using one on the
Mitch-styled 10-foot loop so far. The multi-turn loop and Vert are
coming in unamped -- and working, as the captures attest. This is not by
design, however -- and I plan to change that to use Lyle's pre-amp as
used last season -- but for expedient and recent house cleaning at the
operating location. So I tried it barefoot, as some say, and was
rewarded. Presented just for thought.
