Hi, Alberto,
Thank you for the reply! Thanks for clarifying the 11.89 seconds per
_baud_ .. yes that is what you said, sorry. Thanks for straightening me
out.
Yes, letting the PC run the exciter surely sends the correct speeds. What
I was trying to do was capture the commands coming from the JASON software
and then program those commands into my exciter (as described by its
designer) which worked, except that doing it that way the exciter also
needs to control the keying speed.
Now that I understand what you mean with the 11.89 seconds (thank you!) I
can work toward that.
I will need to rebuild my symbol clock (currently simple RC) to derive
itself from my TCXO to provide a much more stable, accurate, and known
clock for the exciter to be able to accurately send JASON by itself.
SO, tonight, I'll run JASON again, but directly from your software ...
that is, letting your software control the exciter instead of letting the
exciter do it itself.
THANK YOU, Alberto, for the reply, and thank you also very much for the
software! Not just JASON, but ARGO, SPECTRAN, etc, etc. Thank you.
Best regards,
Eric
