Lewis, this depends on the Rac of the loop and the P-P drive signal. It's
all in my second article. As an example: With a 24vdc Vcc (24v p-p square
wave on the primary of the transformer) the reflected load from the loop
through the transformer, based on 1w, is about 70 ohms. If your loop Rac is
0.7 ohms the turns ratio would be sq rt 70/.7 = 10 to 1. You can just get by
with the popular #43 core type on this one.
