That is, if you enjoy programming a DDS exciter at 0400 and then waiting
half an hour to see if it really does what you told it to do. I was watching
Steve's grabulator and decided that the dots in my Hellschreiber identifier
needed to be about twice as long, in order to show up clearly on Argo. That
required changing the frequency steps to keep the letters from looking too
squished. The desired result was finally achieved, although I might go back
to the "narrowband" Hellschreiber format like Dex's.

That's my story. I don't know what Bill A. was up to!

By the way, thanks to Larry for posting the captures, and to Steve for
making the Argo live site available. Sure is fun to watch what the signal is
doing over 900 miles away.

By the way, Rik Strobbe's web site at http://www.qsl.net/on7yd/136khz.htm
has his "Rapido" software, which allows you to save Steve's captures to disk
in case you fall asleep. Rik also has a program called "ArgoUpload" that
will allow even dummies like me to send their own "Grabulator" pictures to
an ftp site. I will try that with my Argo (or SpecLab) captures some night
soon.
