I don't know about the recent versions of Spectran, but I remember that it
used to change the sound card settings and not restore them upon exit.

My limited experience with Linux was enough to make me stop saying bad
things about Windoze; at least for a couple of days. I might try Linux again
if someone ever writes an application that I want to run on it. In the
meantime, I have a notebook computer sitting here with an unrecoverable disk
partition left over from the Linux experiment. Linux may be great for
running servers and commercial stuff, but don't try it at home!
