A loop in the vertical plane has about 180 degrees of take off. The most 
useful angle for DXing is supposed to be below about 8 deg from horizontal, 
however.

I think I'll wait to hear more from Larry about his 'loop direction effect' 
on Wm before expending too much brain power on this - but I'm hoping we have 
something here!
