One general observation:

AFRICAM is a full-duplex system; it can receive and transmit at the same
time.  If we all could agree on speed, mode, run length - everyone could
be transmitting his beacon message continuously while at the same time
cruising around the band trying to copy other stations.

With GBPSK, all stations using same mode/speed send their frames in the
same time slots, so we wouldn't even need to change any program settings,
just tune the Rx to a different frequency.  I guess the run length isn't
too important as long as we don't want to use GRAB.
