[Lowfer] AD8932 DDS info...

Thanks Johan

I'm using your PC program at the moment to wrap my head around the chip
and I'm finding that it does "once" and while put the correct frequency
out; however, as I change VFOs or hit a key on the keyboard "unstable"
behaviour occurs. I've tried various computers and wiring layouts and
the behaviour is the same... Is the speed setting critical? I've tried
various settings and it still behaves the same... Perhaps its time to
program a PIC...

Hi Scott,

Yes, I am using AD9832 and some other AD98xx DDS chips as well.
They all work great. The stability of the output signal is no better
than the stability of the clock that feeds the chip. You can view it as
a "fractional frequency divider". Let me know if you need some PIC
code to control the chip.
