The Epson programmable oscillators are rated at +/- 50 ppm over -20 to +70C,
which is a pretty tight specification for a $3.33 "custom-made" oscillator.
But that represents a possible frequency error of +/- 675 Hz at 13.5 MHz. As
John points out, you need really good precision for narrow modes at these
frequencies! The LEK HiFER beacon cops out by staying in plain old CW mode
:-)
