[Lowfer] 15 kHz bandpass filter - what's it for?

Hello group,
I recently acquired a pair of passive LC filters that are sharp bandpass
at 15 kHz. At least that is what they demonstrate when hand swept with
signal generator and scope. These units are half the size of a brick
and are full of 1 percent tolerance components. Any thoughts as to what
I might do to put them to productive use? Would it be practical to
make a selective receiver with 15 kHz IF in order to use these units?
I know 50.5 kHz has been used as an IF and utilized LC filtering to
achieve selectivity.

I am betting that someone here will be able to answer my question.

Thank You,
