I realize that it flies in the face of loop lore, but there is detuning
of my loop with a good icing. Perhaps others who have their loops
supported by tree limbs have "pre-detuned" antennas and don't notice
additional detuning due to an ice load. My loop is mounted completely in
air. I believe JA sees similar detuning of his loop with ice - might be
worth getting his 2 cents.
