Hey Ed,
Try running 'CW Get' software on his signal and see how well it decodes the
ID. You can get the software free on the 'net.

As of 4:04 PM PST I am copying UWL by "earball" at about 50%, by

I mean that (when it fades up) I can catch about half of the letters in
any one ID and perhaps once in a while I can imagine I get them all.
For some strange reason the "L" comes through clearly almost every
time! Lousy propagation today probably isn't helping much either. If
this were a DX station from whom I wanted a QSL his report would be
something like "5-9-9 plus". At least that's the way DXers seem to do
it. I'm not one.
I've been watching your CW ID on Spectran for a couple of days but
for
some stupid reason I didn't connect the rather strange display (smeared
in the frequency dimension) to CW until a few minutes ago.
