Ran captures overnight -146 of them! The capture below is typical of "good
copy" - not the best, not the worst.

Noticed that the signal was in there consistantly until about 0530 Z or so
and after that was pretty much absent.

About the antenna...

The antenna was the 100' RG-58 shielded loop running in untuned mode with a
VD 50 ohm in/out preamplifier. The transformer ratio is optimized for 137 -
185 kHz and at 1700 kHz represents a mismatch loss of -22 dB. So the total
gain/loss considering the mismatch loss and preamplifier gain (20 dB) is -
2dB at 1700 kHz. Guess I'll have to make a transformer/preamplifier module
for 1700 kHz - will have one ready for tonight...although there is probably
not much to be gained overall with noise being the limiting factor.
