Alberto, relative to placing the tuning capacitor in the shack:

I have my doubts as to whether this is a good idea. In addition to the Q 
reduction and resulting signal reduction you may also experience some signal 
pickup on the lead-in as the result of messing up its transmission line 
characteristics with a capacitive load rather than a pure resistance.
