[Lowfer] Worthwhile going to Shielded loop?

Hey Folks,

Got a loop up this weekend.  150' cicumference... if you can call it
circumference.  The loop is actually more of a diamond with the apex at 50
feet or so.

Currently it is made of #12 wire just what happened to be laying around.

Jay has used a similar antenna made from coax as a shielded loop and reports
good results with respect to noise.

Has anyone used this type of config for RX before?  Large shielded loop?

Any comments I think I will put it up just based on Jay's comments.  Besides
I could always turn it into a Xmit  loop later on.

Any comments?
