I've seen that MP uses like a single turn or two to couple to his loading 
coil inductively.

I, though, am running my feedline directly to a tap -- no inductive 
coupling.

Is this wrong?  The way Mitch is doing it -- is that what you mean by a 
matching network?  Or something more?
